Dude, it's a difficult decision but check out the logic.
1. I'm not a ghetto rapper and I'm not willing to say that stuff, so that audience is lost on me.
2. All the nerdy rappers making it (at least in America) are white right now.
3. You have to sing a certain way all the time to make it as a male vocalist in the EDM scene. I don't sing as well as the guys who have made it.
Only thing left is to be a producer if I want a real chance to make a career of this right now!
I'll still songwrite. But I really think for your productions as well, you gotta find female singers. There's just a better chance of more DJs and label execs accepting the work.
