I am starting on my journey to make my first (well, really third) game. My question is - how do you guys keep from isolating yourself while programming?

NOt interested in talking to people who spend all day inside on the Internet. I like people, and I want to achieve balance while making kickass games. So that kind of advice would be helpful. How do you maintain real world relationships while developing?

Go out, join a community project you love maybe, and you'll start with a circle of friends you will meet fairly regularly.

I join a county-run creative place called Soundskills, and I might be volunteering at the Citizens Advice Bureau, and I'm in a choir. Three circles of friends I regularly go out and meet. And on occasion, make an outing. ^_^ That's a start, I guess. It doesn't take too much time out of your week if each thing is two hours a session; it still leaves the rest of the day for you to do your thing.

Thank you, Troi! This is good advice, and I will follow it.
