Recently, "Everything I Know," a vocal to Aaron Musslewhite's "Overdrive" made NG frontpage. My first time! Thanks to the appropriate parties at NG for doing that, first of all. The song rocks and so do you.

What I didn't expect was all the polarization! I take that back...I guess I did!

I really want to focus the attention on the NEW FANS...THANK YOU. You give me the hot tomato soup that I need to keep going.

Mixing genres (REAL dubstep and REAL hip hop = dub hop) is never easy for some folks to take. That's cool. But h8rs are always the loudest. I don't care about their reviews. I care about the reviews of the NEW FANS.

I know that you have my best interests at heart, so if you tell me I need to improve a verse, sing better, sync better, I know it's not just hating. So make your views known. The people who fav'd me didn't leave reviews, while all the h8rs did. I'm not interested in the h8rs. I want the ppl who actually enjoy what I'm doing to talk to me. I'm changing the sound of dubstep, bottom line. This is future music.

There was definitely some interest when I dropped the idea of a swagtastic mixtape. I'm so down to take the lead on this. Maybe promote it in connection with Clabtrap, even though I hate the thought of doing a dj mix tape with that loser BigRed. :)

ClabSwag is a JOKE PROJECT. Each MC makes the most swaggerific-iest track that he can. 808s everywhere, ballin outta control, girls shakin asses, money flying. Teqneek's "Swaggin on My Money" is a PERFECT example.

Swagtastic beatmakers - MCs are gonna need some beats and bass. Both MCs and beatmakers read the rules below, cuz there are rules to getting on the ClabSwag collab project.

1. RECORDING TIME LIMIT. 30 minutes, TOPS. If ur an MC, from the time u start writing lyrics to the END OF MASTERING, you get 30 minutes, NOT ONE MINUTE MORE. If you don't make it, you have to turn in what you got. Can't think of lyrics? Freestyle! Beatmakers, same thing. 30 minutes for your beat from the first note to the final compression.

2. TOPICS. You have to swag it out. Guns, girls, money, and some more money.

3. MORE SWAG. Be funny and catchy as FUCK.

The idea is based on solo tracks, but partnerships are cool as long as everybody obeys the above rules. Let's make a dj mix tape for the fuckin world in like 5 minutes.

Next SJD dubhop mixtape - Senator John Dean over some old xKore tracks. I'm just gonna find like 5 or 6 old xKore tracks and rip em up.

Promotion for Theresa is still happening; the SJD name is getting out there. People are getting the dubhop concept and loving it, few folks are hating, most of them don't know WTF to do with dubhop. That's fine. They just need more. I think I'm the first artist to make it a priority to have real, original, hardcore, skillful hip hop lyrics over hardcore dubstep beats - not just stupid remixes with famous artists to try to get famous.

So What Is Theresa?
Theresa is a real girl that I dated. We are still friends. She's one of the best people I have ever known and she made me think about many things that no other girl had. So although all of the songs are not ABOUT Theresa, they are all inspired by her. I also thought my first mixtape should be something different because everybody just wants to do hard, hard, hard. I wanted to prove that you can explore relationships and still be hardcore.

So yes, guys - you can still listen to this out loud and not be called a pansy by your friends.

What Dubhop Is
I call this mixtape "dubhop" because I feel like I mix dubstep and hip hop like no one else does on Theresa. I never liked electronic music snobs or hip hop snobs who say that something has to be this way/that way in order to fit in. Screw off. Two kinds of music exist: Good stuff and bad stuff. I rap over drops, I sing, I talk about subjects that people are afraid to mention and it sounds good.

The Producers
5 out of the 6 songs on Theresa are originally produced by Newgrounds dubsteppers. I do vocal arrangements over Aaron Musslewhite, Spaze, FurryNG and xSentinel productions. These guys are some of the best producers I've ever heard on or off NG. If you haven't checked them out, do so.

I got a song that got 100 plays in less than a day! For me, that's a hit song! LOL...especially in the hip hop category which I have quickly found is the red headed stepchild of this site.

But anyway, fuck that. I'm havin a good time cuz ppl are actually DLng the song and enjoying it! It's not bad if I do say so myself, AxTekk did the track...it's a jazzy, party tune with organs, trumpets, Spanish guitar...really moisturizing sounds. And I rock the shit out of it and have a good message if I do say so myself.
