Intro was less than great to me, but the drop saved it. Sweet. I think the compression could use a little work however.

I don't know that the drums need to be any more pronounced. The nature of the song is more Erykah Badu than DMX. Subdued drums that just cut through on the low end are what prevails there. So as long as you've got that 60 Hz rumbling so the lounge will have sound to fill itself with, you don't necessarily need the "presence" in the higher drum range. I like it as is. I'll listen to it on other speakers, but for now, it's pretty perfect.

I like the way your beats don't quite come together until like a minute in, at least to me. It makes you wait on the groove a bit until all the instruments come in and the efx level out. You have quite a unique style, and I'm glad I found you on NG.

Huh! Quite funky. Good bass. Well done. Only thing I'd say is that the guitar is too harsh around 3-4K. Try EQing that out of the vocal range some, cuz if you had a rapper on this, the guitar would be clashing with the voice.

4 stars cuz I chkd out your other material and you have improved technically way past this, but you already know that. Gotta leave room so your really hot material can get 5 stars, you know? This is a coming of age song here, kind of where I feel my life is right now, so I felt it a lot.
