First of all, you're all welcome for these grudge money matches. SJD <---- originator

Ok so two great efforts. I gently wept for both MCs because if all of the things you said about each other are true, you both should go pray for your souls, LOL. Now. The Senate convened and found, pursuant to the following criteria,

1. Both MCs have great flow; Rav's is more personal to this beat,
2. Gasmasq's punchlines were more numerous and diverse, Rav's were more poignant, giving more of a reason to dislike Gasmasq (racist fake thug > squad jumper)
3. Rav showed more emotion EVEN THOUGH HE VOTED AGAINST ME FOR DOIN THE EXACT SAME THING IN MY GRUDGE MATCH...it still comes across with greater force than purely intellectual disses, that

The legislature hereby passes this resolution in favor of Rav for the victory.

Only thing I didn't like was the cliche synth up top. Everything else is completely original brockboy stylee, yah you a bumbaclot dubber fashure yung bhuah

Battle of the Year.

WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE THIS SHIT ON REPEAT I HATE MYSELF BUT THIS SHIT IS HOT TO ME lolololol

LOL I was almost about to put something about the Poe raven in my battle with KillBill. I didn't though. That's a LUL tho. Ok Rap judge activate. Obsideo because of the flow and the line "awkward pauses just like your sex life/...necktie." Great job Raven though. I loved the imitation.

Intro was less than great to me, but the drop saved it. Sweet. I think the compression could use a little work however.

aight, thank you for the good advice, and yeah the side chain compression is way to powerful

Carefoot, turn the vocal up 3 dB @ 4kHz. Can't understand your punches; vocal clashing with guitar. Gas wins.

Just know that any production Tom Foolery will be dealt with handily, if those claims turn out to be truthful. There will be no bullshit in my bracket.

I don't know that the drums need to be any more pronounced. The nature of the song is more Erykah Badu than DMX. Subdued drums that just cut through on the low end are what prevails there. So as long as you've got that 60 Hz rumbling so the lounge will have sound to fill itself with, you don't necessarily need the "presence" in the higher drum range. I like it as is. I'll listen to it on other speakers, but for now, it's pretty perfect.

thank you man, awesome review. really appreciate the love :)

Just the fact you have the taste you do, to remix one of the best 90s era video game songs in the world is enough. I liked the 2nd part in there that started at 0:41. Try some sustaining bass though, to really get more out of this track. I heard a lot of kick drums, but you gotta get that sustain bass note to really get that rap feel out of it, I think, like maybe every other one count.

I like the way your beats don't quite come together until like a minute in, at least to me. It makes you wait on the groove a bit until all the instruments come in and the efx level out. You have quite a unique style, and I'm glad I found you on NG.

JackRocker responds:

Thanks a lot man! I never noticed that, actually. Even though they're my own beats, haha. I'm glad you like the way I produce though man. I'm learning something new with every beat I produce. Thanks for the review!
